Graceful study, performance, and artistic growth.

Lauren Connell is a classical pianist based in Austin, Texas, currently pursuing her piano degree at the University of Texas at Austin, where she continues to develop her artistry through intensive study, performance, and collaboration.
Originally from Dallas, Texas, Lauren grew up in a musical family and was surrounded by serious music from an early age. Her father is a classical recording engineer and producer who plays several instruments, giving Lauren early exposure to the discipline, beauty, and expressive depth of classical music. This environment helped shape her musical curiosity and gave her a natural appreciation for performance, sound, and artistic communication.
Lauren began her formal musical training at a young age and has pursued the piano with seriousness, discipline, and a deep respect for the classical tradition. Her early musical development was shaped through her studies with Daredjan Baya Kakouberi, an accomplished pianist and teacher who earned her doctorate at the Moscow Conservatory. Under this guidance, Lauren received a strong foundation in technique, musicianship, tone production, and interpretive depth.
As a student, Lauren distinguished herself in numerous piano competitions, winning or placing among the top three in many events. These experiences helped strengthen her confidence as a performer and reflected her consistent preparation, musical discipline, and dedication to artistic growth.
Lauren has also participated in numerous master classes with distinguished artists, including Alexander Kobrin and Alessandro Mazzamuto, experiences that have broadened her musical perspective and helped refine her approach to performance. She studied for one year at Texas Tech University with Daniel del Pino, the renowned Spanish concert pianist and Eva Browning Artist in Residence and Associate Professor of Piano at the Texas Tech University School of Music, before continuing her piano studies at the University of Texas at Austin.
Lauren has also recorded in New York with Adam Abeshouse, the multi Grammy Award winning classical music producer known for his work with many of the world’s leading artists. This experience gave her the opportunity to work in a serious professional recording environment and further develop her understanding of performance, sound, preparation, and musical communication.
As a young artist, Lauren is committed not only to performance, but also to sharing music with others. Her musical philosophy centers on introducing children to the piano and to the arts in a way that encourages curiosity, imagination, discipline, and lifelong appreciation. While she enjoys helping beginning students discover the joy of music, she is also prepared to guide more serious students who wish to pursue the piano at a higher level. See piano lessons and rates.
